Event Details

“Let There be Rock live in Paris 1979” captures AC/DC about to explode in one of the best concert movies ever!

Filmed on 9 December 1979 at the Pavillon de Paris in Paris, France during the AC/DC Highway to Hell World Tour

The band were on the precipice, about to take the world by storm. Two months after its filming, fire brand front man Bon Scott was deceased.

Shot by unknown filmmakers on a bare set, live in Paris captures AC/DC at the peak of their powers. A menacing Bon Scott, a demonic Angus Young and the driving balls to the wall rhythm section of Malcolm Young, Phill Rudd and Chris Williams. Shows exactly why AC/DC is so great! This is as good as it gets!

After seeing this film in 1980, Dave Grohl (Nirvana and Foo Fighters) declared he was going home “not to play my guitar but to burn it!”

This is a Free event presented by Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and will run in Fishing Boat Harbour after the Perth Festival Highway to Hell event has finished.
