Operating since 1923, Kailis’ is something of a historical landmark. Caught and delivered to the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour itself, the daily catch travels minutes, before sitting on a fresh bed of ice ‘for sale’ at the fish market. Their restaurant features the classic traditional fish ‘n’ chips and deep fried fare, along with a BBQ range that’s cooked directly from the fish market to the grill. Whether its local rock lobster come summer, or a hearty seafood chowder during winter, the unmatched harbour views are part of the experience all year round.
Enjoy the scenery from inside their nautical and family friendly venue, or under the umbrellas outside on the boardwalk. For those that want take away, the newly refreshed piazza, Esplanade Park, or Bathers Beach are all a two-minute walk from Kailis’ and ideal locations for a picnic. Kailis’ also make their own wine in Margaret River that’s designed to pair with their seafood menu. There’s bar serves a selection of local beers too. The café and bar also serve up Kailis’ infamous fish ‘n’ chip gelato, as well as coffee and a large range of desserts to indulge in.
