Around 1999 at the old Fremantle alligator farm, a handful of mates went to work brewing a hop-driven American Pale Ale. With multiple franchises on the east coast, their beer has now gained international popularity. The Little Creatures experience in Fremantle is a chance to see where it all began.
The immersive ‘Great Hall’ dining room lets visitors enjoy lunch or dinner among steel tanks and busy brewers in high vis. The spacious industrial venue is ideal for families, with outdoor seating and a large balcony, which wraps around the interior…there is even a huge outdoor sandpit to keep the kids entertained while you eat. The menu is designed to go with beer (and not the other way around), so you’ll find wood fired pizza and share plates. Their frites with aoli is something of a celebrity on their share menu and a must-try.
Next door is the Brew House, where beer lovers chat and sample the different brews with fellow ‘hop heads’ and even buy a six pack, or carton to take away.
With Little Creature’s free bike hire you can explore Fremantle at your leisure with the Brew House as your base.
Every month, Little Creature hosts a different artist in their “little” gallery. Head to the mezzanine level of the Brewery and check out some great, local art.
