Fremantle Dragon Boat Racing

In the majestic setting of Western Australia’s iconic Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, the inaugural Fremantle Dragon Boat Festival will be a spectacular celebration of world class dragon boat athletes led by Dragon Boating WA.

Taoist monks will perform the blessing of the waters and a unique eye dotting ceremony – dabbing red paint onto the eyes of each boat’s figurehead, which is said to awaken the dragons.

The festival offers a unique opportunity to gather family members, friends and community together to enjoy a fun filled, exciting event!

Come and revel in the festivities which will commence at 10am with a dragon boat regatta, onto sprint racing and the crowning of the winning team!

Cultural performances, with meet and greet opportunities by dragon boat racing personalities and clubs will ensure an unforgettable experience!
