Friday 13th March (4pm – 10:30pm)
4pm: Comhrá. Kelp Bar open.
6pm – 7pm: A Celebration of Irish Poetry.
7:30pm – 10:30pm: Johnny Bravo, Cormac Healy & Friends Irish sing-along ~ Bring your voices and instruments! You don’t have to be Irish.
Saturday 14th March (12 noon – 10:30pm)
12 noon: Comhrá. Kelp Bar open.
4pm: Children’s Stories of Old from Ireland – told by Ann Aitkinson
5:15- 6:45pm: “Sunset Ceili on the Deck” with musicians Jennifer Doyle, Cian Kissane, Catherine Higgins & Donough O’Donovan with Hilary McKenna calling the dances – Everyone invited to join in!
7:15pm – 9:15pm: “Larks in the Sky” (Ciaran O’Sullivan, Fiona Doyle, Brian Finnemore & Brendan Doherty)
9:30pm – 10:30pm: Traditional Music Session in Large Gallery ~ bring your instruments and dancing shoes!
Sunday 15th March
11am: Irish Brunch Beach House Party ~ Bring your bathing suits and sweet singing voices!
11am: Children’s Stories of Old from Ireland – told by Ann Aitkinson
12 noon: “Readings from The Fenians” ~ read by Fenians, Fremantle & Freedom Festival members. (Passages & Poetry written by the Fenians banished to Fremantle)
1pm – 4pm: Open Mic – Sing along Sessions on the Deck & the Kelp Bar Studio ~ Bring your singing voices!
4pm – 5pm Comhrá.
Monday 16th March (Closed)
Tuesday 17th March (St. Patrick’s Day ~ A Celebration of Ireland’s Patron Saint) (4pm – 10:30pm)
4pm: Paint an Irish landscape with PASSION! 30mins. All materials supplied.
5pm “Readings from The Fenians” ~ read by Fenians, Fremantle & Freedom Festival members. (Passages & Poetry written by the Fenians banished to Fremantle)
6pm – 7pm: A celebration of Irish Poetry in the Gallery.
6pm onwards: Mingle at Sunset on the Deck.
7pm onwards: Sing-along of Favourite Irish tunes on the Deck – Everyone join in!
8pm – 8:15pm: Gemma Turvey plays piano in the spirit of Seán Ó Riada the single most influential figure for the revival of Irish Traditional music in the 20th Cent.
8:30pm – 10:30pm: Sing-along with local musicians. All welcome. Bring an instrument (except tambourines!).
